Penalties for Grosjean and Cecotto

As reported earlier (Clos wins but Grosjean takes title) race officials investigated incidents involving new GP2 Asia Series champion Roman Grosjean and Johnny Cecotto. Both were subsequently handed a 20 second penalty which was added on to their final race result. Grosjean was thus demoted down to 7th position and outside the points. As Cecotto finished last of the runners his penalty did not affect the race results.
