Frijns pips Sainz in F.Renault 2.0 Eurocup morning session.

This mornings Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup test saw Carlos Sainz go quick straight out of the box with a 7 lap run, quickest of which was 1'44"82, Sainz was followed out by 3 of his Koiranen team mates who after 25minutes of running occupied 4 of the top 5 spots.
Brit Will Stevens in his Fortec Motorsports ran car demoted Sainz with a 1'44'43 only to be ousted himself by Tech1's Javier Tarancon posting 1'44"17.
At the end of the first hour Sainz had once again put himself atop the order on a 1'44"10 followed closely by Stoffel Vandoorne, Tarancon, Stevens and Daniil Kyvat who completed the top 5.

First to break the 1'44 barrier, just after an hour had passed, was Josef Kauffmans Robin Frijns on his 17th lap edging out Sainz with a 1'43"96. From this point there was to be no more position change in the top 20 for the rest of the session. Pieter Schothorst posted a 1'43"43 with 1.5 hour remaining but this time was later cancelled by officals after being deemed to exceed the track limits during the lap.
