British F3 official test Silverstone - Carlin dominate again

Eighteen year old Malaysian Jazeman Jaafar ended 2 days of testing at the Silverstone GP circuit on top of the timesheets as the Carlin team continue their overwhelming domination of the British Formula 3 series.
Brazilian Lucas Foresti started day 2 in good form in his Mercedes powered Fortec Dallara by posting a time of 2'04"47 nearly half a second faster than his closest rival and series rookie Scott Pye.
China's Adderly Fong in his Sino Vision Racing Dallara Mercedes showed he's no pushover in changeable conditions by confidently setting solid top 10 times in the first 2 sessions of the day.

The afternoon sessions were contested on a dry track and it was then that normal service was resumed at the top of the sheets with the top 8 cars having Volkswagen power (in session 3) and 7 of the top ten in session 4. Unsuprisingly most of the Volkswagen Dallaras were run by Carlin, the only change being the order in which the drivers finished.
Series newcomer and RSF driver Jack Harvey continued to show evidence of his talent by ending the day, and completing a Carlin 1-2-3, with a time of 1'53"20 just over 2 tenths slower than 2 of his team mates and 2nd year drivers Jazeman Jaafar and Brazilian Felipe Nasr. Double R Racing were the closest challengers to Carlin as former Motopark (German F3 and Formula Renault 2.0) driver Brazilian Pipo Derani and Scott Pye completed the top 5.
Fortec Motorsport seem to be unable to build on the momentum created last year by Oli Webb and found themselves, even with highly rated young irishman Will Buller, to be out of the top 10 with all 3 cars.

Suprisingly, without setting any of the 3 fastest sector times dring the session, it was Petronas sponsored Jazeman Jaafar who was the only driver that managed to dip under the 1'53 barrier.
"I’m pleased with the progress we made here,” said Jaafar. “I was third quickest yesterday and quickest today. I didn’t get many laps in this morning, but this afternoon we changed a few things on the car and I had a really good run on my new set of tyres"
